This quaint country is an incredibly underrated place in the Middle East. Tunis is typically the first stop for many visitors as they being their journey in Tunisia specifically traveling further south. If this is the case, we suggest starting with a day or two in the medina of Tunis and a full day in Carthage then heading to coastal cities such as Hammamet or far south. To wrap up your trip, plan two days in Sidi Bou Said, just 25 minutes from Tunis and from the international airport.
