It’s no secret that we’ve been compiling listicles of things to do, cool places to stay, close getaways, etc. Especially after our last glamping experience in Cape Charles, we were hooked on finding the coolest glamping sites in Virginia. We figured it would be better to share some of these bucket-list items with you all! So, here’s our want-to-visit list of the coolest places for glamping in Virginia. You’re welcome.

Let’s just preface with – we are novice map makers so be kind. But here’s a little guide to help you map out where these cool stays are located.

  Northern Virginia  

Nest Egg Treehouse | Linden

Now we know that you might be thinking about a family trip or a friendly gathering in a large space. One of our favorite sites for glamping in Virginia is this stunning farmhouse – perfectly suitable for bigger groups.

Joshua Treehouse | Bridgewater

If you can’t make it to the real Joshua Tree National Park, indulge in a stay at this super sleek and warm treehouse right in Virginia.

 

Magical Hobbit’s Dream | Fairfield

Bring on the magic at this out of this world hobbit cabin! The property offers all kinds of wood making workshops. It’s recommended to bring your wizardly costumes for a truly mystical experience.

Who knew hobbit houses were so popular in Virginia? We didn’t. Here’s yet another unconventional stay completely hand-crafted by the property’s owners.

  Central Virginia  

Gothic Glam | Richmond

Not really glamping, but we love all things fancy, from extravagant castles, to historic stays. So, an indoor gothic haven certainly caught our eye. This cozy nocturnal apartment in Richmond is calling your name.

 

Upscale Tipi | Lynchburg

An authentic American Indian tipi with a side of… a farm. Enjoy the roaming horses, goats and more in this secluded glamping site.

 

Vineyard Stay | Crozet

You’ve seen us rave about Charlottesville before and this stay at Stinson’s Vineyard is no different. Just steps away from the vineyard’s fields, this gorgeous house was one of our favorite Airbnb stays in Virginia thus far. You can opt to rent the whole place, or just a room!

 

A-Frame Lodge | Gordonsville

Built almost entirely of recycled materials, this quirky A-frame cottage is the perfect location for a relaxing weekend.

 

Airstream | Stanardsville

This distinctive vintage Airstream trailer comes with a beautiful deck overlooking the Shenandoah National Park and a boho-chic, vibrantly pink, outdoor tub.

  Coastal Virginia  

Bunny Box Trailer | Virginia Beach

This eccentrically turquoise camper will meet you wherever you are! The owner will graciously drop it off at a campsite of your choosing and will leave you to enjoy all that the bunny box has to offer!

  Virginia Mountains  

Tiny House | Roanoke

Look how adorable this tiny house is? Enjoy the simpler things in life at this itty-bitty stay.

 

Octagon Yurt | West Augusta

Designed like an umbrella, this octagon yurt is a great place for a mountain retreat.

 

Modern Loft | Big Island

We are suckers for lofts and rustic décor. This gem nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the great outdoors.

  Southwest Virginia  

Dream Rock Silo | Independence

Now we’re talking! Ever dreamed of staying in a silo? Well dreams do come true. Check out this stylish stay at a 1950s renovated dairy barn in Independence.

  Bonus: West Virginia  

Dome | Harpers Ferry

We had to cheat a little on this one. Harpers Ferry is almost Virginia, right? We couldn’t overlook how cool this dome stay is.

    Wow! These spots look amazing! I have really been enjoying the glamping life this year and I have always been a sucker for a treehouse style accommodation haha. Thank you for sharing and I will be pinning for later!

    I love these posts! It’s nice to find a blogger who’s local to the greater Maryland area. I actually had no idea there were such cool places to stay within a few hours! Also I’m in LOVE with that Richmond apartment. I’ll definitely have to plan a weekend getaway in one of these places.
